Spinal Cord Injury Alberta

Support SCI Alberta

Imagine experiencing a life-changing event that leaves you with a spinal cord injury. How different your life has become. Every activity of daily living is impacted. For more than 4500 Albertans this is their reality.   In the next year another 100-150 Albertans will also suffer a spinal cord injury, either through a traumatic accident or non-traumatic event, such as infection or cancer.

Now, imagine leaving the hospital where you’ve been given support and opportunities to rehabiliated.  You are likely a bit scared and perhaps anxious to start the next steps of your journey.  You seek opportunities to find something familiar and to continue the progress you’ve already made.  You are excited to discover the support and services of SCI Alberta.

Since 1961, it has been an honour for SCI Alberta to respond to the needs of persons with SCI, their families and the communities where they live.

Thank you for supporting the mission of SCI Alberta to empower persons with spinal cord injuries and other physical disabilities to achieve independence and full community participation.

Your contributions make a difference.

As a non-profit organization, we rely on the support of those in the communities around us. There are many ways that you can support SCI Alberta:
